Job summary

Main Line Health in Media, PA is seeking an Environmental Services Technician at Riddle Hospital. The role cleans and supplies patient rooms, lounges, and offices and ensures safe, sanitary environments in accordance with department procedures.

Shifts include 1st, 2nd, 3rd; part-time 20-hour office cleaner also available. Eligible for benefits with 20 hours/week or more; tuition reimbursement offered to support education and career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience using battery powered floor scrubbers, buffers and burnishers preferred.
• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories and common areas.
• Perform floor care: dry/wet mop, buff and burnish floors with machines.
• Remove refuse and manage soiled linen; transport items per procedures.
• Observe and report equipment malfunctions or needed repairs.

Available Positions

• Full Time 1st Shift - 7am - 3:30pm
• Full Time 2nd Shift - 2:30pm-11pm
• Full Time 3rd Shift - 11pm-7:30am
• Part Time 20 hour Office Cleaner- 6:30pm-10:30pm
• Positions 20hrs/week or more are Benefits Eligible
• All positions have an Every other weekend and rotating holidays are requirement

Why work as a Environmental Services Technician with Main Line Health?

Clean and supply patient rooms, removal of soiled linen units, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, common areas, floors, public bathrooms, offices and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with hospital objectives. Floor care: dry and wet mop floors, buff floors with buffing machine, burnish floors with burnishing machine. Refuse removal: collect and transport trash, remove soiled linen and red waste (according to Main Line Health standards). Facility cleaning: wash walls, hang cubicle curtains, clean stairwells and perform any other assigned project asProvide friendly, efficient customer service to patients, visitors and co-workers. Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report any machine malfunctions. Observe and report need for repairs of hospital equipment, furniture, fixtures, etc.

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Previous experience using battery operated floor scrubbers, buffers and burnishers is preferred

Education

• Minimum of a High School/GED is preferred.
• Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude is desirable.
