PeaceHealth is seeking an Environmental Service Attendant I-Housekeeper for a Part Time, 0.50 FTE, Day position. Must be available to work every weekend.

Job Description

This role involves cleaning and sanitizing rooms, floors, fixtures, and furnishings in assigned areas following established policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include replenishing supplies and performing miscellaneous housekeeping duties.

Essential Functions

• Ensure assigned areas are cleaned and disinfected according to departmental procedures, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, spot cleaning carpets, washing walls, ceilings, furniture, fixtures, emptying trash, restocking supplies, and making beds.
• Set up furniture in conference rooms if needed.
• Maintain housekeeping cart, restock paper receptacles, replace sharps containers, and order supplies. Clean and store equipment properly.
• Respond promptly to emergency cleaning needs.
• Coordinate with clinical personnel to determine cleaning priorities in clinical areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred; experience in hospital or healthcare setting is a plus.

Skills: Basic verbal and written communication, ability to work independently, strong customer service, basic computer skills.

Working Conditions

Includes lifting, moving, pushing/pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, and environmental exposure to biohazards, chemicals, noise, and airborne particles. Must have normal vision and hearing, and effective communication abilities.
