SME seeks a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to work with key clients on environmental due diligence, revitalization of contaminated sites, and advising owners on findings and options while managing regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities include developing the environmental practice, securing opportunities, preparing proposals, and mentoring project teams to successful completion.

Job description

A Project Manager/Senior Project Manager will be working with key clients and prospects to secure business opportunities, with a focus on environmental due diligence, working on projects to revitalize and reuse contaminated sites, and advising owners on project findings and options along with managing their regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to build an environmentalpractice bybringingorestablishinga network of prospects and clients.
• Identifyingand securing business/project opportunities both independently and in support of other local,regionaland corporate business development activities.
• Preparingproposalsandnegotiating professional servicefeesand contracts.
• Identifyingandparticipatingin professional and business organizations and other networking activities that will foster relationships with current clients and potential clientsand develop the professional visibility ofSME andthe environmental team.
• Proficiencyin designing and implementingenvironmentalsite investigations;conductingdata evaluation,validationand visualization;and preparingtechnical reports.
• Extensive knowledge ofstate and federalenvironmentalregulations and applications.
• Ability tosynthesize data and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with other team members and clients.
• Mentoring and leading projectteamsto successfully complete assigned responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Competency using computer operating systems and MS Office Suite programs (Word, Excel,Outlookand PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and supervisors, conveying technical information clearly.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, manage workloads,maintainaccurateand detailed record-keeping skills, documenting field observations, safety concerns, and problem resolutions.
• Effective interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and team members, fostering positive working relationships, customer-centric approach to provide excellent service to clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Ability to identify and share cross-selling opportunities with SME team members to maximize SME's value with our clients.
