Job summary

Stantec’s Environmental Services team is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Wildlife Biologist to conduct wildlife surveys, habitat assessments, and NEPA-related work across multiple states including Oklahoma. The role involves field and office work, travel, and collaboration with ecologists, engineers, and regulatory staff.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology or related field, 2+ years of experience, and ability to travel up to several days in the field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of related professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology or Environmental Science from an accredited university.
• Ability to travel and conduct field work, including remote areas for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wildlife and threatened & endangered species habitat surveys.
• Support bat mist-net surveys, bat acoustic surveys, data analysis and wildlife radio-tracking.
• Prepare NEPA, USACE, EPA, USFWS regulatory documentation.
• Assist with environmental permit applications and endangered resource reviews.
• Prepare portions of written reports, tables, and maps for client reviews.
• Technical report and memorandum writing.
• Maintain quality control and assist with project deadlines.
• Coordinate effectively with colleagues, clients, and agency personnel.
