Noblis is seeking a Scientist (UNDS) to provide scientific research, biological analysis, and regulatory support for the Navy's UNDS program in Bethesda, MD. The role emphasizes QA/QC, LIMS data management, and collaboration with EPA and Navy offices to ensure compliance with 40 CFR 1700 and related wastewater standards.

The position requires biology expertise, regulatory knowledge, and experience with discharge characterization, sampling, and reporting.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology from an accredited institution.
• Approximately five years of UNDS-related experience with Navy operations.
• Strong knowledge of UNDS regulatory framework under 40 CFR 1700 and Clean Water Act.
• Experience with QA/QC protocols, LIMS, and data management.
• Proficiency with MS Office, data analysis, and scientific reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Review policies and regulations affecting shipboard wastewater discharge.
• Summarize regulatory findings in clear scientific reports for leaders.
• Characterize discharges using biological sampling, toxicity testing, and EPA methods.
• Coordinate with EPA, Navy offices, and Fleet units to support requirements development.
• Prepare discharge characterization reports and data summaries (CDRL A002).
• Develop SOPs and training materials on UNDS requirements for Navy personnel.
