Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Scientist to join our environmental testing laboratory. You’ll conduct hands-on analysis, operate instruments such as GC, HPLC and ICP, and help ensure the quality and integrity of environmental data affecting communities and ecosystems.

Responsibilities include analyzing air, water and soil samples using established chemistry methods, documenting procedures and results, and maintaining lab equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or STEM required or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, and wearing PPE as provided by Pace.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and other apparatus.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods.
• Review and interpret results from sample analyses.
• Document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality laboratory records.
• Calibrate, clean and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.

Education
