Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking an Environmental Professional to perform site assessments and support environmental due diligence, remediation, and sampling programs in the Carolinas and Southeast. The role involves field work, data management, and report preparation, with travel and outdoor work as part of daily duties.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Geology or Environmental Science and up to 1 year of related experience, with a valid driver’s license and willingness to learn new software.

Qualifications

• BS in Geology, Environmental Science or related field.
• OSHA 40-Hour and 8-hour refreshers are a plus, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• 0–1 year experience in environmental science or similar.

Responsibilities

• Perform site assessments and reporting for environmental due diligence and property condition evaluation programs.
• Support site characterization, remediation, groundwater exploration, and aquifer studies.
• Oversee drilling subcontractors and well construction.
• Collect soil, water, air and other environmental samples following established protocols.
• Maintain and calibrate sampling and monitoring equipment.
• Record and manage field data, notes and photo logs; evaluate data and prepare tables/figures.
• Assist with environmental report preparation.
• Participate in occasional emergency response efforts in the Southeast.
