Qualifications

  • 8 to 15 years of experience required.
  • Current PE license in NY a plus.
  • Ability to work as part of a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

  • Support office and on-site environmental projects including brownfields and site investigations.
  • Assist in developing Remedial Investigation Work Plans and other relevant documents.
  • Oversee junior staff and ensure project compliance with safety standards.

Job description

We are currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager in our Investigation & Remediation Group in Rochester, Ithaca, or Syracuse, NY. The desired candidate will have extensive experience with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) programs including but not limited to the Brownfield Cleanup Program and Spills program and on environmental containment, permitting and compliance projects.

Duties

  • Support projects in the office and on-site environmental projects that include brownfields, site investigations, treatment systems, construction projects, sample collection, environmental monitoring, and oversight of subcontractors.
  • Proficient in designing field programs and performing associated field activities including scheduling, coordination of tasks, budgeting, subcontractor management.
  • Assist with the development of Remedial Investigation Work Plans; Conceptual Remediation Plans, Corrective and Remedial Action Work Plans; Contract Documents including Specifications and Drawings; Remedial Construction Observation and Generation of Final Reports.
  • Coordinates with corporate and project-level safety and ensure all projects are conducted in accordance with applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with oversight of junior staff working on projects to ensure work is done correctly and within budget.
  • Participate in the development of junior staff and work with senior management to continue to grow as a consultant and leader of the firm.
  • Experience interacting with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.
  • B.S. in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Geologist, or Environmental Science (current PE license in NY a plus)
  • A minimum of 8 to 15 years of experience.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workload on multiple projects and deliver projects on time.
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification and up to date annual refresher.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $105,000

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.”
