Job summary

Onterris is seeking an ambitious mid-career scientist, geologist, or engineer to advance project management and reporting across Florida projects including Phase I ESAs, CERCLA, and PFAS investigations. The role is office-based in Orlando with travel within the Southeast as needed.

The annual salary range is $80K to $100K, commensurate with experience and location. You’ll work closely with project managers and staff to deliver high-quality environmental solutions while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field.
• 7+ years of environmental investigations and leading field efforts.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel / obtain security clearance.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of software: Microsoft/Google Suite, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement sampling plans for field investigations.
• Lead field efforts and guide junior staff on data collection methodologies and documentation.
• Analyze, evaluate, and interpret analytical data to identify data gaps.
• Contribute to development of Conceptual Site Models.
• Procure and coordinate subcontractors for geophysical surveys and drilling.
• Prepare reports, tables, maps, and drawings for regulatory approval.
• Conduct ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
• Coordinate responses to emergency spill incidents for clients in central Florida.
• Interface with federal, municipal, and private sector clients.
• Maintain safety and participate in continuous improvement programs.
