Job summary

Egis seeks an experienced environmental professional for our North Carolina team to support transportation and infrastructure projects. You will conduct field investigations, prepare NRTRs, and coordinate with agencies to facilitate NEPA/SEPA compliance.

This role emphasizes GIS data collection, technical reporting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality environmental solutions while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEPA/SEPA processes and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing environmental documentation and permitting packages.
• Proficiency with GIS and Microsoft Office applications; plus MicroStation/CADD as a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct natural resources field investigations including wetland delineations and habitat evaluations.
• Prepare NRTRs and environmental permitting packages for transportation projects.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to support project approvals.
• Utilize GIS to develop mapping, exhibits, and documentation.
• Support NEPA/SEPA documentation and environmental studies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in stakeholder meetings.
