Job summary

Ayres Associates is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support our Brownfield-focused work in Wisconsin. You will assist with site investigations, groundwater and landfill monitoring, soil and vapor sampling, and regulatory compliance within the Development Services Division.

You’ll collaborate with planners, landscape architects, and economic development specialists, and travel locally and nationally for short-term field assignments while contributing to redevelopment projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology or environmental earth science.
• 0-5 years of environmental consulting or regulatory experience.
• Experience with Phase I/II ESAs, hydrogeologic sampling or regulatory permitting is a plus.
• Strong technical writing, organization, and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Build technical skills through field and office assignments.
• Support environmental investigation, compliance, and remediation projects.
• Conduct Phase I and II ESA tasks, site inspections, and monitoring well oversight.
