Job summary

Apex Companies is hiring an Environmental Scientist 1 based out of our Urbandale, IA location. Your responsibilities include performing field work on a dynamic portfolio of environmental projects across Iowa and the Midwest, including environmental due diligence, site investigations/delineation, remediation, and stormwater compliance.

You will collect samples, analyze data, and input information into reports.

Qualifications

• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field.
• 1-3+ years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection.
• Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
• Light construction experience/hands-on skills a plus.
• Experience with data management and report preparation.
• Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Annual Expected Pay Range

$50,000 - $60,000 USD
