Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) seeks an Environmental Scientist for our Houston, TX office to conduct office and field activities supporting environmental compliance projects.

You will help develop plans, permit applications and reports while performing field investigations and data collection. The candidate will prepare data tables, maps, and figures, assist with permit applications for industrial projects, and contribute to regulatory reports.

Qualifications

• Civil or Environmental Engineering or Geology degree.
• 0-3 years experience.
• Preferred E.I.T. or G.I.T.
• Field and data collection focused.
• Drilling oversight, USCS lithologic core documentation, well installation, sampling experience.
• Subcontractor coordination.
• Environmental media sampling - air, water, soil, waste.
• Data analysis, table preparation, coordinating figures, report writing, and strong communication skills.
• Previous internship experience preferred.
• Ability to travel overnight and work extended hours as needed.
