Job summary

AECOM is hosting an exclusive Environmental Science Intern event in New York City. This internship targets motivated students and recent graduates for Spring/Summer 2027, offering a hybrid work model with in-office opportunities at the New York office (605 Third Ave) and nearby New Jersey locations.

Interns will support the EPP team in field and office settings, gain hands-on experience in ecological surveys, GIS mapping, data analysis, and reporting, and develop towards a full-time

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BA/BS in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Environmental Studies, GIS, or related field.
• Must have completed at least 2 years of study; recent grads may apply.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist ecological teams with field surveys and data collection.
• Support field maps and reports using GIS and ESRI software.
• Aid in ecological data sheets, reports, and coordination with agencies.
• Prepare environmental impact documentation and assist with surveys.
