Job summary

SGS Dayton, NJ laboratory is seeking an environmental sample courier to join the team. You will pick up and deliver samples and sampling kits to SGS clients across New Jersey, ensuring chain of custody with proper sigs and temperature checks.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a clean driving record. Training provided, with a Monday–Friday 12:00pm–9:00pm schedule and opportunities for growth.

• Able to read, understand and follow work instructions safely and accurately.
• Map reading skills required.
• Personable and able to establish good client relationships.
• Able to work well with others and independently.
• Flexible hours may be required.
• Travel to other SGS locations or client sites.
• Comply with Health & Safety, Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct policies.
• Able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Follow a predefined route to pick up samples from clients for delivery to SGS labs.
• Provide courteous, efficient pickup and delivery of samples and sampling supplies.
• Complete log sheets and obtain customer signatures for chain of custody and billing.
• Take temperatures of samples upon receipt.
• Maintain the company vehicle in good order and clean condition.
• Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to safety policies.
• Complete SGS Defensive Driver training as required.

Our Dayton, NJ laboratory is looking for an Environmental Sample Courier to join their team! This position is responsible for the pickup and delivery of samples and sampling kits to and from SGS clients throughout the state of New Jersey.

Job Functions

• Following a pre-defined route, pick up samples from clients for delivery to SGS labs.
• Establish and maintain good relations with SGS customers/clients by providing courteous, efficient and professional pick up service of samples, and delivery of sampling supplies in a safe and timely manner.
• Complete log sheet and obtain customer signature for chain of custody and billing purposes.
• Take the temperatures of the samples upon receipt
• Maintain company vehicle in good order and in a clean condition.
• Maintain a safe and satisfactory driving record.
• Complete SGS Defensive Driver training courses as required.

Compensation

The expected hourly range for this position is $22 - $24. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
