Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) is seeking an Environmental Safety Intern for Summer 2026 at Nuclear Fuel Services in Erwin, Tennessee. On-site position supporting safety and environmental monitoring in a nuclear facility.

You will review data, perform calculations and analyses, help prepare work plans and procedures, and assist in sampling and equipment maintenance. Applicants must be enrolled in a BS program and be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a DOE security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a B.S. degree in a technical discipline (Science, Environmental Science, Chemistry or Math preferred).
• Requires U.S. Citizenship with (no dual citizenship).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance after background investigations.

Responsibilities

• Review analytical data for completeness and correctness.
• Perform calculations and statistical analyses to assist data evaluation.
• Assist in the preparation of work plans, procedures, reports and other documentation.
