Your Opportunity

We seek a talented individual interested in permitting complex pipeline and energy projects to join our team. Our professionals include specialists in biology, wetlands, soil science, fisheries, botany, hydrogeology, engineering, forestry, habitat and ecosystem restoration, environmental policy, permitting, and GIS. We assist clients in navigating regulatory and corporate environments through active engagement with the public, stakeholders, and regulators. Our projects span traditional energy and innovative energy transition initiatives like Hydrogen, CCUS, CO2 transportation, Lithium, and renewables. This position can be based in any US location with potential for remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects (FERC-regulated natural gas or liquids pipeline projects) and energy transition projects across the US.
  • Manage permit applications and agency coordination related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, Coastal Zone Management Act, and Section 106 Cultural Resources.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and support proposal development.
  • Create and review technical documents supporting regulatory submissions.
  • Support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and coordinate with HSE professionals during project execution.
  • Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistent project execution.
  • This role involves working within a larger permitting team, supporting multiple projects and offices nationwide.
Qualifications
  • Experience managing pipeline projects, especially large natural gas or liquids pipelines.
  • Knowledge of FERC and NEPA processes, mitigation measures, and related implementation.
  • Experience with FERC-regulated projects, including 7(b)/7(c) applications, prior notice, and blanket authorizations.
  • Proficiency in resource report development for FERC projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and customer focus.
  • Experience in fostering client relationships.
  • Understanding of HSSE policies and procedures.
  • Project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or higher in Environmental Science or related field (preferred).
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Direct experience with FERC permit applications and agency coordination related to environmental regulations.

Work environment includes office settings and field visits, with exposure to weather conditions. Responsibilities may evolve, and additional duties may be assigned.
