Environmental Regulatory Permitting Project Manager – FERC/Energy

Join our team at Stantec as an Environmental Regulatory Permitting Project Manager – FERC/Energy.

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented individual with experience in permitting pipeline and energy projects, including FERC-regulated natural gas or liquids pipelines. The role involves managing permit applications, agency coordination, and developing technical documents for regulatory submissions. This position offers flexibility for any US location with potential remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical and project management aspects of oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition initiatives across the US.
• Coordinate permits related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, Coastal Zone Management Act, and Section 106 Cultural Resources.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development and proposal efforts.
• Prepare and review technical documents supporting regulatory compliance.
• Implement and promote Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies during project execution.
• Collaborate with environmental and regulatory specialists to ensure consistent project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, especially managing pipeline projects and FERC-related permits.
• Strong knowledge of FERC and NEPA processes, mitigation, and resource report development.
• Excellent communication skills, client-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
• Educational background in Environmental Science or related field; bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
