Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an Environmental Associate Attorney to join the Energy and Environmental practice in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves regulatory actions, environmental enforcement, and environmental litigation including CERCLA and toxic tort matters.

Candidates should have a JD from an accredited law school, bar admission in good standing, and 3–6 years of environmental law experience, gained in a law firm or government setting.

Qualifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
• 3–6 years of environmental law experience, in law firm or government setting.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations including CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.

Responsibilities

• Handle public utility regulatory actions and environmental enforcement actions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Engage in environmental litigation, including CERCLA cost recovery and toxic tort cases.
• Participate in energy rate work and air quality regulation matters.
• Manage environmental transactions such as real estate, M&A, and site remediation.
