Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an Environmental Associate Attorney in Lansing, MI, to join its Energy and Environmental practice. The ideal candidate has 3-6 years of environmental law experience, focusing on public utility regulatory actions, enforcement actions, and regulatory compliance. Federal or Midwestern agency experience is encouraged.

The role involves advising on CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act, and participating in environmental transactions and litigation as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in environmental law, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Experience with federal or state government agencies is also considered.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on environmental regulations such as CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act.
• Represent clients in public utility regulatory actions and environmental enforcement actions.
• Assist in regulatory compliance matters for energy and environmental sectors.
• Engage in environmental litigation, including CERCLA cost recovery and toxic tort cases.
• Participate in environmental transactions such as real estate, M&A, and site remediation.
