Clean Harbors Cincinnati, OH Facility is seeking a Receiving Chemist Intern to join our safety-focused team for Summer 2027. This in-person internship will run May 17th or May 24th through August, at our Cincinnati facility, with exposure to real projects across environmental, energy, and industrial services.

You will work with experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience, and develop practical skills while supporting safety and QA/QC processes.

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing a degree in chemistry or other relevant field at an accredited college or university.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or other relevant technical tools.

Aufgaben

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Receive containers, verify counts, and code waste for disposal processing.
• Sample incoming drums and perform basic analysis per procedures.
• Sort and consolidate batteries for disposal.
• Code drums for routing and billing per protocol.
• Move drums to proper storage areas and complete related paperwork.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and a safe work environment.
