The Illinois EPA, Peoria Regional Office, is seeking an Environmental Protection Engineer I (UMP) to assist higher-level engineers in field operations. The role provides a structured introduction to environmental engineering programs, including inspections, data collection, and reporting for water pollution control projects.

Eligible candidates have a bachelor's degree in engineering and may participate in an upward mobility program.

Qualificações

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering science.
• Upward Mobility Program candidate preferred.
• Proven knowledge of water pollution control or related engineering fields is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assists field staff in inspecting wastewater treatment facilities and related systems.
• Assists in investigating citizen complaints and emergency response incidents.
• Provides technical support for enforcement processes.
• Reviews technical documents for permits and plans; participates in meetings with stakeholders.
• Performs duties within the Field Operation Section of IEPA's Peoria office.
