Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Environmental Project Manager based in Midland, Texas to lead environmental, groundwater, and regulatory projects across Texas. You will coordinate planning, field activities, client communications, subcontractors, and deliverables while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a strong geology/environmental background, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental consulting, geology, hydrogeology, environmental compliance, water resources, or related field.
• Experience coordinating environmental projects, field activities, contractors, schedules, and technical deliverables.
• Working knowledge of environmental investigations, soil and groundwater sampling, drilling and well activities, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing technical reports, field documentation, regulatory correspondence, or similar technical deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and technical staff.
• Ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate environmental, groundwater, water resources, remediation, and regulatory compliance projects.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and coordinate communication among clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, field personnel, and internal project teams.
• Develop and manage project schedules, field activities, sampling events, drilling programs, documentation, and technical deliverables.
• Coordinate environmental investigations involving soil, groundwater, water quality, monitoring wells, and other media.
• Plan and oversee soil and groundwater sampling, environmental assessments, drilling activities, and monitoring activities.
• Provide technical oversight during drilling and field investigations, including review of subsurface conditions and aquifer characteristics.
• Track project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables and communicate status to clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee subcontractors and field personnel to support safe project execution.
• Identify project risks and develop solutions with project teams.
