Job summary

Canacre, a Quanta Services company, seeks an Environmental Project Manager to lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring QA, risk assessment, milestones, and on-time, on-budget delivery. You’ll communicate with clients, manage scope, and mentor teams to meet client expectations.

Responsibilities include coordinating resources, reporting progress, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders while adhering to Canacre’s best practices and safety standards to deliver successful

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Biology, Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Project management or Business.
• 3-5 years professional services consulting experience, working with external clients.
• 2+ years' experience in a management role.
• Experience with environmental permitting and construction compliance.
• A proven track record in project planning, executing, managing and closing on projects.
• Ability to run meetings and effectively capture decisions and actions.
• Detail-oriented, organized, with strong problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead internal resources, set expectations and priorities, determine metrics, obtain deliverables and achieve milestones.
• Liaise directly with clients or Client Manager and provide reports, updates and solutions.
• Support development of project messaging for stakeholders, including landowners and communities.
• Manage detailed tracking and communication of project progress from a task, time, schedule, and cost perspective.
• Ensure all client deliverables are completed and delivered on schedule.
• Follow Canacre’s best practices and procedures for project management.
• Review client deliverables to ensure quality.
• Identify and provide project details for tracking purposes.
• Host weekly or biweekly meetings with the client and internal project team.
• Update senior management and the project team on changes in scope, status of the project and schedule changes/expectations.
• Identify project risks, establish solutions and escalate accordingly.
