Job Summary
Our environmental project managers / field technicians provide clients with advice regarding potential contaminant presence in a variety of settings including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. An ideal candidate should be an individual who is self-motivated, this hands-on position requires strong analytical and communication skills to identify a potential issue and convey the said issue to a client with remedial solutions when necessary. Through on-the-job training and certification courses, field technicians gain knowledge regarding state and federal regulations and in turn conduct surveys and produce reports as a knowledgeable party. As knowledge and experience increase, additional certifications may become available.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct large size / high profile on-site inspections for asbestos, lead, mold, bacteria, combustion by-products, and other industrial hygiene disciplines, which includes documentation of site conditions, sampling, and in-person consultation
- Produce professional survey reports based on inspection notes and sample data with remedial recommendations as necessary
- Coordinate with multiple parties regarding inspections while keeping all parties best interests in mind
- Adhere to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations and communicate that information to clients in a professional manner
- Assist in training programs for asbestos, lead, mold, bacteria, and combustion by-products, and other industrial hygiene disciplines
- Assist with sales calls and large size sales proposals of all types
- Assist with report review for asbestos, lead, mold, combustion by-products, and other industrial hygiene disciplines
- Assist with large Account Management
- Assist with team leadership for large projects
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years qualifying experience.
- TX Certified Asbestos consultant, Mold assessment consultant, Lead inspector/risk assessor is highly desired.
- Prefer individuals with a bachelor's of science degree in construction management, biology, chemistry, environmental science, and/or a related science.
- Will train for additional certifications as required for this position such as HAZWOPER, Radon, ACAC CSMI, CIE, CFST, etc.
- Don't have the required experience? We are also hiring for other level positions - will train.

- Manage personnel selectively using high levels of interpersonal skills
- Competency in performing functions of planning, organizing and directing, controlling and decision-making
- Having the aptitude to train individuals, use independent judgment, and carry out directions from top management with little supervision
- Detect and rectify operational aberrations
- Meet the public tactfully and courteously and answer basic policy questions in person and over the phone
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of the workday
