Dexian seeks an experienced Environmental Project Manager to oversee field remediation and civil construction, planning, coordinating, and executing projects on time and within budget.   • Strong proposal, RFIs, and close-out documentation skills.
  • Excellent collaboration with clients, regulatory agencies, field teams, and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Project, and cost tracking.
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or 8-hour refresher.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% to remote project locations.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to oversee field environmental remediation and civil construction activities. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and execute projects to ensure timely completion within scope and budget, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an in-person position based at our Martinez, CA office when not on active job sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules.
  • Conduct cost estimating and review project plans and specifications to support proposals.
  • Create and document technical approaches, work plans, and project completion reports.
  • Forecast workload and project progress for existing contracts.

  • Oversee project operations to ensure adherence to schedules, scope, and budget.
  • Supervise, assign, direct, and evaluate staff; promote staff development.
  • Prepare project budgets and negotiate contracts to optimize project delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of industry-related experience.
  • Proven leadership in bidding and executing environmental construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects for federal clients such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Defense, or other federal agencies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing proposals, submittals, RFIs, and close-out documentation.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, field teams, technical staff, and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Project, and cost tracking applications.
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or 8-hour refresher, with documentation available prior to employment.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time to remote project locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Professional certifications such as PE, PMP, or CCM.
  • Experience working on federal projects with agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or the Department of Defense.
