Job description

Tired of doing fieldwork? Want to have a real impact on projects? We are seeking an environmental professional with five to ten years of experience to join us as a full-time Environmental Project Manager in the Boston, MA area.

As an Environmental Project Manager, you will work directly with senior staff based in New England to manage ongoing remedial, operations, and maintenance work at various CERCLA sites. Responsibilities include evaluating performance data, preparing reports, coordinating with consultants and contractors, reviewing technical submittals, tracking schedules and budgets, and interfacing with regulatory staff and clients.

Our firm manages technical, administrative, and financial aspects of major environmental projects. We have served as Project Coordinator or Manager at over 140 sites across the country, including Superfund, RCRA, state programs, voluntary cleanup, and radiological decommissioning sites.

Basic Qualifications:

• Motivated and eager to gain expertise
• B.S. in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in environmental engineering, consulting, or contracting
• Proficient in Office 365
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (ongoing annual training required)
• Effective communication skills
• Valid U.S. driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• M.S. in Environmental Science, Engineering, Hydrogeology, or related field
• Professional certifications (PE, PG, PMP) or ability to obtain within two years
• Proficiency in MS Project, ArcView, CAD, WordPress

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure client satisfaction and advocate for clients
• Manage project implementation and perform quality control audits
• Prepare progress reports and status memos
• Develop and monitor project schedules, evaluate delays
• Review technical submittals and provide feedback
• Evaluate remedial technologies and approaches
• Respond to changing site conditions
• Develop RFPs and evaluate bids
• Track project costs and manage invoices
• Limited travel within Boston and New England

Pay Range:

$100,000 - $140,000
