Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking an Environmental Specialist to manage environmental projects and ensure regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes leadership, permitting, and stakeholder engagement across environmental assessments, EIA, and site remediation.

The candidate will perform fieldwork, oversee data collection, and mentor junior staff while contributing to business development. A strong background in environmental science/engineering and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

7+ years of relevant environmental experience, preferably in consulting, energy, or industrial sectors.
Bachelor’s Degree in environmental field; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage environmental projects from planning through execution and reporting.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (EPA, NEPA, CEQA, RCRA, CERCLA).
Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory filings.
Mentor junior staff and participate in business development activities.
Oversee fieldwork and subcontractor oversight; collect and analyze air, water, and soil samples.
