Job summary

Arcadis seeks a detail oriented Engineer, Geologist, or Environmental Scientist for a Charlotte, NC role combining field and office work. Expect travel, heavy data work, and writing technical documents. You will support environmental sampling, oversight of subcontractors, and preparation of plans, reports, and cost estimates.

A BS in a relevant field and 4–6 years of experience are required, with MS Office skills and a valid driver's license. OSHA training is a plus; travel up to 50% may occur.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Geology, Geosciences or Environmental Science.
• 4–6 years of related work experience.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• OSHA HAZWOPER 40 HR / 8 HR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field sampling of soil, groundwater, air per standards.
• Implement in-situ remedial technologies and oversee subs contractors.
• Maintain detailed project notes; coordinate with team.
• Provide emergency response support for derailments/HAZMAT events.
• Data management, reports, work plans, and cost estimates.
