Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Project Environmental Engineer to support sustainability and resilience of infrastructure through large-scale testing, field studies, and numerical simulations. The role bridges natural elements and built environments, addressing waste disposal, soil improvements, site remediation, waste handling, and permitting and regulatory coordination.

The position involves field investigations, construction monitoring, soil/groundwater sampling, and reporting.

Qualifications

Accredited degrees in either BS Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Geotechnical) or BS Geology.
2 to 4 years of experience in the field or related field.
Wisconsin and Illinois regulatory consulting experience a plus; professional credentials or ability to obtain credentials within 1–2 years.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver Phase I ESAs.
Prepare and deliver Phase II ESAs.
Field investigations including construction monitoring, soil and groundwater sampling, asbestos and lead-based paint assessments, remediation system monitoring and reporting.
Conduct measurements and sample collection with documentation and data tabulation.
Coordinate subcontractor work including scheduling and bids procurement.
Make engineering calculations using standard formulas and computer software.
