Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Natural Science or Engineering field is required.
  • Minimum 15 years progressive experience in air permitting, environmental compliance, consulting, or program work.
  • Minimum 10 years in the oil and gas industry.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws/regulations.
  • Advanced understanding of CFR Chapter 40 and related regs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of pipeline operations and environmental program management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and improvement of environmental governance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Assess applicability of environmental laws/regulations to Colonial Pipeline Company.
  • Manage environmental compliance priorities across stakeholders and programs.
  • Serve as SME for air permitting, water, and related compliance matters.
  • Apply change management, root cause analysis, and regulator negotiation skills.
  • Lead, coach, and support a small team with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize project and financial management to support program execution.
  • Represent Colonial in discussions with professional organizations on permitting issues.
  • Use EMS, data tools, spreadsheets, and risk analysis to improve outcomes.
  • Communicate status, risks, and recommendations across leadership levels.
