Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY invites an Environmental Intern to work directly with Environmental Program Managers to support actions designed to improve the site's environmental performance. This internship provides exposure to environmental management systems, regulatory requirements, and practical experience in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Sophomore status at application; pursuing Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in environmental science, chemistry, or engineering; GPA ≥ 3.0.
• English language fluency (Written & Verbal)
• Able to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Support resource conservation project tracking and reporting with a focus on ISO, RBA, ESG, and GF objectives.
• Assist Regional Environmental team with improving process documentation, metrics, and controls.
• Partner with manufacturing, facilities, logistics, and quality to identify opportunities and drive environmental objectives.
• Perform all activities safely and support EHS&S programs.
