Job summary

Egis seeks an experienced environmental project leader in Raleigh, NC to oversee complex field investigations and regulatory compliance across transportation infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate field teams, collect and analyze environmental data, and contribute to NEPA/SEPA documentation while collaborating with diverse stakeholders. This role offers a path to leadership and meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field.
• 10-15+ years of experience in transportation environmental programs in NC.
• Experience with environmental permitting and NEPA/SEPA.
• Proficient with GIS, Microsoft and Adobe software; knowledge of MicroStation or CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee high-level natural resources field investigations, coordinating teams and logistics.
• Perform on-site field investigations and collect soil, water, air, and biological samples.
• Analyze environmental data to track trends and identify issues in ecosystems.
• Assist in development and review of NEPA/SEPA documents and regulatory compliance.
• Manage natural components of projects, including wetland/stream mitigation and habitat restoration.
• Write detailed reports and permitting packages for stakeholders and regulators.
• Present findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
