TTL, founded in 1964, is seeking an Environmental Professional to join our San Antonio team. The role involves routine field sampling of groundwater, storm water, soil, and related media, along with monitoring conditions and contributing to due diligence and remedial activities.

The position requires 0–5 years of related experience, a B.S. in a related field, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel overnight often exceeding 60% while working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine field environmental sampling of groundwater, storm water, soil, etc.
  • Monitors, observes, samples, and records field environmental conditions.
  • Follows proper procedures, performs accurate computations, and maintains professional relationships.
  • Prepares daily reports, data sheets, and technical report writing with moderate supervision.
  • Assists with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and basic remedial investigations.
  • Provides construction environmental oversight/monitoring for soil and groundwater plans.
  • Conducts regulatory compliance reporting.
  • Experience with Property Condition Assessments is a plus.
  • Activities include map reading, chain-of-custody forms, field parameter measurements, environmental site inspections, and drilling/utility clearance field inspections.

TTL is searching for an Environmental Professional to join our team in San Antonio. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of project types and teams. This role will provide support and coordination with environmental agencies to address environmental concerns.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs routine field environmental sampling of groundwater, storm water, soil, etc.
  • Monitors, observes, samples, and records field environmental conditions.
  • Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintains cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
  • Prepares daily reports, data sheets, and technical report writing. Operates with moderate supervision.
  • Assists with due diligence assessments (Phase I Environmental Site Assessments) and basic remedial investigation activities.
  • Provides construction environmental oversight/monitoring related to soil and groundwater management plans.
  • Conducts regulatory compliance reporting.
  • Experience conducting or performing Property Condition Assessments a plus.
  • Typical activities include, but are not limited to: map reading, maintain chain-of-custody forms, utilize equipment to measure field parameters, environmental site inspections, and field inspections for drilling access and general utility clearance.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Engineering or related field
  • 0-5 years of experience in related field
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Able to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel overnight, extended on occasion, sometimes with short notice. Overnight travel expected >60%
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Physical Fitness: perform heavy lifting up to 50+ lbs; possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environment; be certified to wear a respirator
  • Possess mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Preferred: OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
