Job summary

CME Associates in Tennessee is seeking an Environmental Planning and Permitting Division Lead to guide project work, develop NEPA documents and manage client relationships. The role emphasizes leadership, budgeting, and regulatory compliance across multiple projects.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with regulators and clients, and ensure deliverables meet deadlines while maintaining quality. A hybrid work schedule is available along with a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Civil Engineering, Biology, Archaeology, Geology, Natural or Environmental Sciences or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in NEPA and/or permitting.
• Ability to review environmental documents for regulatory completeness.
• Knowledge of NEPA levels and environmental permitting processes.
• Experience with state and federal regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development, operations and production for Environmental Planning and Permitting.
• Prepare fee proposals, scope of work, budgeting and invoicing.
• Aid in NEPA documents and permit applications.
• Guide staff and ensure project delivery within budgets and deadlines.
• Develop project work plans and manage client relationships.
• Maintain QA for project deliverables and communications.
