Job summary

HNTB is seeking Summer 2027 interns for the Environmental Planning group in Raleigh, NC, with opportunities across Columbia, SC and North Charleston, SC. Interns will support planning from concept through completion, researching data, preparing materials, and ensuring compliance with environmental laws.

Locations include Raleigh, NC, Columbia, SC and North Charleston, SC. The internship is full-time, and relocation housing is not provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to environmental planning.
• Interest in GIS, environmental data, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to assist project teams with data collection and research.

Responsibilities

• Assists project team members with various support tasks.
• Conducts basic research and data collection.
• Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
• Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports.
• Performs other duties assigned.
