Job summary

HDR is seeking an Environmental Planning Intern for Summer 2027 in our Transportation Business Group. You will participate in real-world projects, support environmental planning tasks, and learn from mentors within HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in environmental science, biology, environmental engineering, or a related field and possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental engineering or related program.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects.
• Connect with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
• Perform other duties as needed.
