The role emphasizes environmental documentation, analysis and surveys, including NEPA, socioeconomic analysis, wetlands and stream assessments, and habitat evaluations. Outdoor work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning or similar field
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time accordingly
• Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others
• Willingness to work in challenging outdoor environments, including high temperatures and steep terrain
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Experience working with ESRI ArcGIS software preferred

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Project Environmental Scientists and Engineers in environmental design and compliance tasks
• Prepare state and federal environmental documentation (including NEPA preparation)
• Conduct socioeconomic analysis (including environmental justice)
• Perform wetlands delineations and stream assessments
• Conduct habitat evaluations for threatened and endangered species
• Travel as needed for field work and during site investigations
