Job summary

HDR is seeking an Environmental Planner 2 in Austin to support local permitting efforts and manage submittals from start to finish. You will work with design teams and project managers to ensure timely permits and accurate documentation across projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Environmental Science or related field, 5+ years of environmental experience, and strong research, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with Bluebeam Revu is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years environmental experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities.
  • Active participation in an employee-owned culture is required.

  • Prepare, plan, and manage permitting submittals from start to finish.
  • Manage and coordinate permitting schedule for inclusion in overall project/design schedule.

In the role of Environmental Planner 2, we'll count on you to:

Assist in preparation and management of local municipal permitting documents and components

Prepare, plan, and manage permitting submittals from start to finish

Manage and coordinate permitting schedule for inclusion in overall project/design schedule

Review technical documentation related to permitting

Support and guide project managers, task leads, design leads, etc. through permitting processes
