Job summary

Anchor QEA is seeking a full-time Environmental Planning and Permitting Specialist to support regulatory permit acquisition for waterfront projects in California. You will assist project managers with permit applications, reviews, and supporting analyses, coordinating inputs from engineering, GIS, and field teams, and performing QC.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (environmental planning/policy, natural resources).
Three years’ relevant experience, preferably in consulting.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and permit processes.
Experience with CEQA/NEPA compliance is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support obtaining federal, state, and local permits mainly in California.
Prepare permit applications and supporting analyses with input from the team.
Coordinate inputs from engineering, GIS, and other disciplines.
Contribute to reports and studies for CEQA and NEPA compliance.
Engage in client meetings and respond to agency questions.
Conduct fieldwork/site visits as needed, with local travel.
