Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative seeks an Environmental Coordinator in Bismarck, ND to manage permitting for new resources, support NEPA reviews, PSC applications, and local permitting activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in biology/geology/engineering or environmental field, 6 years of related experience (2 in environmental), and a valid driver's license. Occasional travel may be required. This is an on-site position at Basin Electric’s headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, geology, archaeology, an ABET/accredited engineering program, or environmental field.
• 6 years of related engineering or technical experience, 2 of which are environmental
• A valid driver's license is required
• Occasional travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Assist the Environmental Project staff in acquiring permits for new infrastructure in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist the project team, as assigned, in regulatory meetings, public hearings, and public forums related to environmental permitting.
• Assist with guidance, strategies, and consultation to plant operations, environmental, and engineering staff for environmental programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
