ERM, the world’s leading sustainability consultancy, is hiring a Managing Technical Consultant, Environmental Permitting / Due Diligence Project Manager in Seattle, WA. You will lead environmental permitting and due diligence for major technology infrastructure projects, guiding teams and coordinating with clients to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in environmental permitting and/or due diligence.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for technical reports and client presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental risk evaluations, permitting, and approvals for technology infrastructure and major capital projects.
  • Identify permitting requirements during site acquisition and due diligence processes.
  • Manage regulatory agency interactions and develop mitigation strategies for environmental risks.
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering partners on conceptual master planning.
  • Communicate environmental requirements to diverse stakeholders, including legal, real estate, design, and sustainability teams.
  • Oversee preparation of reports, permitting documents, and environmental reviews at federal and state levels.
  • Serve as project manager, technical expert, and QA/QC reviewer to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Drive business development through proposal preparation and client relationship management.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, and health & safety protocols.
  • Work across ERM’s global network to share best practices and deliver exceptional results.
