What Your Impact Is

As a Managing Technical Consultant, Environmental Permitting / Due Diligence Project Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of ERM’s Capital Project Delivery (CPD) service line, driving environmental permitting and due diligence for major capital projects. Your leadership will ensure that technology sector infrastructure developments meet environmental standards while advancing sustainability goals. You’ll influence decisions at the highest level, collaborate with global experts, and deliver solutions that balance innovation with environmental stewardship.

What You’ll Bring

Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, biology/ecology, planning, program management, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in environmental permitting and/or due diligence.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, meet deadlines, and lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing technical reports and presenting to clients.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships and thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Preferred: Experience with permitting timelines, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.

  • Technical skills in wildlife or ecological surveys (e.g., wetland delineations, wildlife assessments).
  • Familiarity with air quality permitting and multi-media regulatory compliance programs.

For the Managing Technical Consultant, Environmental Permitting / Due Diligence Project Manager position, the anticipated annual base pay is $90,000 – $124,245 USD. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
