KERAMIDA Inc., a nationally recognized environmental, engineering, and compliance consulting firm, is seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Permitting Coordinator to support our growing utility, energy, and infrastructure practice. This role is ideal for someone who excels at managing regulatory processes, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams, and keeping complex permitting efforts organized and on track.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate environmental permitting efforts for utility, pipeline, power, and infrastructure projects across OH, VA, WV, IN, and additional regional markets.
  • Prepare, track, and submit permit applications including, but not limited to, NPDES, ESCGP, Chapter 105, Chapter 102, 401/404 Nationwide Permits, cultural resources, threatened & endangered species, and municipal approvals.
  • Assist with FERC-related permitting support for interstate natural gas projects, including resource reports, environmental alignment sheets, and compliance documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal technical staff (engineering, survey, environmental) and federal/state regulatory agencies (USACE, USFWS, PADEP, ODNR, WVDEP, PHMC/SHPO, FERC staff coordination).
  • Maintain permitting schedules, trackers, and submission logs to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Review submittals and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Support environmental desktop reviews, site screenings, and pre-construction planning.
  • Assist with compilation of environmental construction plans, SWPPPs, FERC environmental deliverables, and other compliance documents.
  • Organize correspondence, comment responses, and agency coordination records.
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, or related field (utility/pipeline permitting experience strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulations including ODNR, WVDEP, USACE (including Nationwide Permits), USFWS, SHPO, and familiarity with FERC environmental processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage permitting workflows across multiple projects.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, site plans, environmental datasets, and technical reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with permitting for natural gas, electric, or civil infrastructure projects is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
