Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services seeks an Environmental Practice Lead to join its collaborative team in Boston, MA or New Haven, CT. This role focuses on managing and submitting air permitting, wastewater, stormwater permitting and compliance, storage tank registration, waste program management, and multi‑media environmental compliance audits.

You will lead a team, develop regulatory strategies, pursue new client opportunities, and contribute to the expansion of Langan’s renowned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or Science required.
• 15+ years with environmental regulations and permitting.
• 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage large, complex environmental projects.
• Develop environmental permitting and regulatory strategy for industrial/construction projects.
• Prepare and submit permits and compliance programs for air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, and storage tanks; EPCRA.
• Lead and develop a team of environmental staff; coaching and training.
• Lead and/or assist in proposals, including scope and fees development.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget; manage changes and invoicing.
• Coordinate across offices and disciplines; interface with clients and regulators.
• Collaborate to support projects across the US.
