Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Environmental Permitting & Compliance to join our team in Doylestown, PA or Philadelphia, PA. You will support multimedia compliance and permitting projects, collaborate with permitting leadership, and gain exposure to technical report writing, calculations, permit applications, and on-site inspections.

You will work with an experienced team on air, water, and waste projects, contributing to regulatory keeps and field visits while developing practical,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
• GPA 3.0 or greater.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and related software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking and judgment abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing permits and compliance programs for air, water, stormwater, waste and related media.
• Support air projects including emissions calculations and permit prep.
• Learn multimedia environmental compliance audits and inspections.
• Assist in preparing monitoring and SPCC/SWPPP/Hazardous Waste contingency plans.
• Prepare technical documents, reports, plans, and permit applications.
• Create templates for reports and plans.
• Conduct field support at client sites with site inspections and sample collection.
• Perform other field and office duties as needed.
