Job summary

Bridger Pipeline LLC in Casper, Wyoming is seeking an Environmental Permitting & Compliance Coordinator to lead federal and state permit applications for pipeline and facility projects, develop environmental assessments, and prepare comprehensive permitting packages.

You will ensure documentation is accurate and timely, coordinate with the Bureau of Land Management and other agencies, and monitor compliance across project lifecycles while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years federal pipeline permitting and compliance in oil & gas.
  • Knowledge of NEPA/MEPA processes, including EIS/EA development.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies such as the BLM.
  • Understanding of MFSA and DEQ regulations.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, draft, and submit federal and state permit applications for pipeline and facility projects.
  • Develop environmental assessments, technical reports, and complete permitting packages.
  • Ensure permitting documentation is accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Maintain organized permit files and compliance logs according to company standards.
  • Serve as liaison with BLM and other regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate agency meetings and information requests.
  • Lead and support NEPA/MEPA activities, including EIS/EA development.
  • Interpret and apply environmental regulations to project execution.
  • Ensure MFSA requirements are considered in routing and siting decisions.
  • Monitor environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage multiple projects, timelines, and regulatory deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align permitting with project goals.
  • Conduct field surveys and travel to project sites as needed.

What You’ll Do:
  • Prepare, draft, and submit federal and state permit applications for pipeline and facility projects.
  • Develop environmental assessments, technical reports, and complete permitting packages.
  • Ensure all permitting documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines.
  • Maintain organized electronic and hard copy permit files, tracking systems, and compliance logs in accordance with company records management standards.
  • Serve as primary liaison with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and other regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate agency meetings, communications, and information requests.
  • Lead and support NEPA and MEPA compliance activities, including EIS and EA development.
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local environmental regulations to project execution.
  • Apply Montana Facility Siting Act (MFSA) requirements to routing and facility siting decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and other state agencies.
  • Monitor environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle and maintain required documentation.
  • Identify compliance risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Manage multiple projects, timelines, and regulatory deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align permitting and compliance with project goals.
  • Conduct fieldwork, coordinate environmental surveys, and travel to project sites as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field with three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in federal pipeline permitting and compliance within the oil and gas sector; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Working knowledge of NEPA/MEPA processes, including EIS and EA development.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies, including the BLM.
  • Understanding of Montana regulatory requirements (MFSA, DEQ).
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.
Computer Skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
