Job summary

GrayMar Environmental Services, LLC is hiring an Operations Manager to lead field offices, ensure safe, compliant operations, and drive branch performance. You will manage personnel, projects, budgets, and customer relations while promoting a safety-centric culture across multiple environmental remediation and emergency response programs.

The role requires exceptional leadership, regulatory knowledge (OSHA, DOT, RCRA), and hands-on experience with hazmat, remediation, and industrial services.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA regulations.
• Experience with HAZWOPER and environmental remediation, industrial services, emergency response, and hazardous materials transport and disposal.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for field and client interactions.
• Ability to oversee projects, delegate tasks, and ensure safe, compliant execution.
• High attention to detail and effective time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to field teams and model GrayMar values.
• Ensure safe work practices and regulatory compliance across sites.
• Develop, coach, and motivate employees; set performance goals.
• Identify opportunities to grow branch revenue and customer base.
• Manage projects in remediation, industrial services, emergency response, and hazmat transport.
• Coordinate resources, dispatch, schedules, and project management across multiple sites.
• Prepare scope of work, estimates, quotes, and safety analyses; communicate with customers and vendors.
• Oversee daily project activities, quality control, scheduling, cost tracking, and scope changes.
• Maintain safety training, audits, and timely timesheets; support payroll accuracy.
• Support financials: invoices, P&L, accounts payable/receivable, and cost savings.
• Lead a large team of PMs, supervisors, drivers, and technicians; ensure staffing.
• Collaborate with HR on career development and employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist with maintenance, inventory, and emergency responses; travel as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
