Job summary

Twin Cities PBS seeks an Environmental & Natural Resources Reporter to join our Public Affairs team. This grant-funded role will focus on environmental and natural resource issues critical to Minnesota’s public health, economy, and recreation.

The 2-year grant may continue beyond; compensation ranges from $80,000 to $93,000 per year with benefits. Hybrid work; candidates must reside in or relocate to the Twin Cities Metro and report onsite at least three days weekly.

Qualifications

• 5 years in broadcast or multimedia journalism
• 3 years of on-camera reporting
• Bachelor's Degree required
• 7+ years as featured environmental reporter preferred
• Anchoring/hosting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Research, pitch, and produce enterprise environmental reporting
• Cover intersection of environmental issues and politics
• Maintain contacts with lawmakers, Tribal leaders, experts, and communities
• Develop complex stories that are easy to understand
• Travel across Minnesota for reporting and events
• Contribute reporting to Almanac and Almanac at the Capitol
