Job summary

Pace Analytical Services in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Scientist 1 in Environmental Microbiology to join our onsite laboratory. In this full-time role you will analyze environmental samples for mold and other fungi, maintain instruments, and document results to support high-quality data for our clients.

You will hold a Bachelor's in Microbiology or a related field, adapt to a lab environment, and benefit from Pace's comprehensive benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology or other science - related degrees - or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. We are happy to provide training!
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, working around strong odors, and wearing required PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves - all provided by Pace).

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental samples for mold and fungi via microscopic exams, including air samples and swabs, per lab procedures.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality lab records.
